For international students studying in the United States, F-1 and J-1 student visas provide work authorization benefits during and after completing academic programs. This webinar will cover work authorization options and the immigration and tax issues that employers should consider when hiring foreign students including:
- Hiring F-1 student graduates for Optional Practical Training (OPT)
- Recent rule changes 2-year STEM OPT extension applications
- Academic training for J-1 student visa holders
- H-1B visas including eligibility and the H-1B Cap
- “CAP Gap” – bridging the gap between the expiration of OPT and the start of H-1B visa
